TXP, a portfolio company of Aliter, has acquired Vigil, an AWS Select Tier Services Partner, for an undisclosed sum. Vigil has deep expertise in AWS-based cloud transformation, software engineering and tech advisory services, complementing and further expanding TXP’s existing cloud skills and service delivery capabilities.
With a dedicated technology team of nearly 100 people based largely in Portugal and Brazil, Vigil brings an impressive client list including ITV, Trainline, Convex and DC Thomson Group. Vigil’s software engineering capability will expand TXP’s nearshore and offshore offering, supporting the company’s strategy of providing value for money, without compromising on quality.
John Antunes, CEO at TXP (pictured left), said: “Vigil’s best in class AWS skills dovetail with our existing Microsoft capabilities, meaning we can now offer customers more choice and expanded technical expertise This promises to open up a broad range of new opportunities, as we help organisations to modernise their businesses at scale and pace.”
Phil Wright, CEO at Vigil (pictured right) and his senior management team are remaining with the business, working closely with TXP and Aliter to deliver ambitious growth plans.
Aliter partner Greig Brown said: “This latest acquisition by TXP is another significant step forward in realising our ambitions for this truly exciting business. Vigil is a great fit and culturally very similar to TXP, whilst adding a wealth of specialist skills and experience to the group.”
The acquisition is aligned with Aliter Capital’s buy and build strategy to create a UK leading digital transformation provider. Aliter is now focused on adding further relevant skills and capability to TXP through acquisitions and supporting the company’s organic growth. Vigil is the group’s fourth acquisition, following the deal to acquire Gen modernisation specialist Metatech in May 2025.
