Aliter’s portfolio business, TXP (Technology x People), the systems integrator specialising in tech consulting, development and resourcing, has appointed Nick Southwell as Group Chief Finance Officer (CFO). This strategic hire further strengthens TXP’s leadership team and supports the company’s ongoing growth.

Nick brings with him extensive private equity and M&A experience, along with a great track record building outstanding finance organisations. Most recently, he was the CFO at Tenzing-backed Activpayroll, a global payroll and mobility specialist, helping the company over four years to significantly increase sales and EBITDA. Previously, Nick held a number of senior finance positions at organisations including Evaluate, a data analysis provider for pharmaceuticals, and Valueworks, a platform that helps reduce the costs of maintaining housing. Nick has also acted as a board advisor for several tech startups.

“TXP has a unique proposition for the UK mid-market, so I look forward to using my experience to help drive the company’s next stage of growth,” said Southwell. “It’s an organisation built on excellence, and I look forward to contributing to its continued success.”

Greig Brown, Partner, Aliter Capital, said, “This is another great step forward in the development of TXP. Nick has an outstanding background and we’re confident his considerable experience will add significant value to the team and support our aim to accelerate the growth of the business.”

TXP offers end-to-end digital transformation through a combination of IT consultancy, technology development and people resourcing to address the evolving modernisation, cloud, data and AI needs of mid-market organisations. Over the next three years, TXP aims to double its headcount through a mixture of organic growth and strategic acquisitions. Most recently, TXP acquired Gen modernisation specialist Metatech, as part of the company’s ‘buy and build’ strategy.
