Yorkshire law firm Milners joins Orwins

Third deal this year supports scale-up strategy to create a UK leader with a national footprint

Aliter’s legal services portfolio company Orwins has made a significant investment in Milners, the Yorkshire based commercial and personal legal services law firm.

Milners now becomes part of the rapidly growing Manchester headquartered Orwins group, which offers a full range of legal services from an expanding national office network, targeting high-growth businesses, entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals.

The transaction is the third investment this year by Orwins, following recent investments in Reading based Clarkslegal in May 2026 and Newcastle based Clarke Mairs in July 2026.

Milners is a full-service commercial and personal legal services law firm offering  corporate and commercial law, litigation, public law and inquiry work, including several high profile public inquiries, residential and commercial property law, employment law and HR Management Services and private client services. Headquartered in Leeds, with offices in Harrogate, Malton, Pontefract, and Darlington, Milner’s team of 48 people is led by seven partners, serving clients across Yorkshire, County Durham and beyond.
