In January 2018, we invested in Boston Networks with a goal of building a modern and progressive network infrastructure, smart buildings, Internet of Things (IoT) and life safety systems business, delivering innovative and specialist services to its clients.

How we’ve helped

In January 2018, Aliter backed Boston Networks, an integrated technologies specialist that works across IT network infrastructure, with a focus on fire, security and smart building systems.

Shortly afterwards in April 2018, we funded the acquisition of PEL Services, a family owned sound, fire, security and AV solutions business based in the South East of England to create a national business with UK coverage.

In December 2018, the group acquired their second bolt-on 2020 Vision Systems, a North East England based security services integrator with a focus on leading-edge IP enabled security technology systems.

Aliter invested further funds in March 2019 to bring together Pinacl Solutions and Pinacl GDA with the group to create a UK-wide organisation with a staff of circa 300 and a turnover approaching £50m. Headquartered in North Wales, Pinacl have a specialisation in design and management of industry-leading ICT infrastructures encompassing the IoT, smart buildings and cities and major fibre optic infrastructures.

Strategy

Drawing on Aliter’s deep industrial experience and established network, the group’s strategy is to grow organically and through acquisitions to establish a leading national operator with a diversified blue chip customer base.

Aliter’s experience in the development of national support services businesses will provide support to the group, in actively making bolt-on acquisitions of complementary businesses.
